Cute product but extremely disappointed in the way it arrived. The directions say to use the ice cream carton to freeze but now I can?t even do that. More care should be taken into this

Dog Hates Pills? This Saves the Day

My dogs HATE their monthly flea/heartworm pill. The thing is the size of an frisbee and my dogs are super geniuses at making me think they?ve swallowed them, only to spit them out.Now I make this ice cream the night before, then take it out to soften as I crush the pill up. When it?s frosty-consistency, I mix the pill it with the ice cream, and give it to my dogs. With no trickery or stroking my dogs throat to swallow a pill that is hidden under their tongue, it?s gone in under a minute. It?s made flea pill day a reward versus a battle!

Oh first my dogs seem to handle this just fine even with their touchy bellies. I tried some frozen treats at a pet store before that were like small ice cream packs an those omg i will just say it was a stinky night with my dog needing extra bathroom breaks. I usually get them the maple bacon of this brand which really does smell sweet an like bacon lol but when making this vanilla all it smelled like was a whey protien powder, just didnt smell that great but dogs enjoyed very much an really easy to make. I have two dogs so i use a little more water than they call for an honestly that seems to make mixing it up to dissolve go alot smoother.I just put water in a glass measuring cup nuke the water an poor the powder in the measuring cup to mix. Than i pour it into two small freezer safe containers an if they are panting up a storm or just because i want too i pull them out an an of course i have to hold the containers while they lick but they love love love it. Kinda like a lazy way to make a dog popsicle lol but even if i wait for it to soften up to give them a scoop here an there they love it either way. Great occasional treat for bdays or uber hot days. But for the smell an flavor factor think im gonna stick to the maple bacon it really does smell sweet unlike the vanilla.
